Cobra Rifle Sling - Figure 8 Style

Exactly what I was looking for. Simple, straightforward leather sling, the basket weave gives it a classic look. Pleasantly surprised at how thick the leather is, should last a long time. Two reasons for not giving it five stars. One, the suede backing was sewn off center. Had to trim it a little for cosmetic reasons. Second, and more importantly, the Chicago screws are no good. They are slotted on both ends, which will scratch a wood stock. The female part of the screw is too long. There is no way they will pull down tight so I ordered some that will. A very heavy made sling that I expect to use for a long time.

Comfortable, well made, looks great, excellent quality and extremely functional

I bought this to replace a Hunter brand sling which I bought in 1973. The quality and craftsmanship is as it was decades ago. Hard to find a sling made in USA for this price. The only thing that I would change are the brass Chicago screws which appear to be the same as the ones on my old sling and do not stay together well. I replaced them with a set of Uncle Mikes brass Chicago screws for a small fee but it is worth the peace of mind knowing that the sling will not come loose when you are afield.

This sling is going on my savage 99 to finish giving it the retro look .
